Tell me about someone who has influenced your decision to become a therapist?

Serving the under served has always been an influence in my decision to become a therapist. I was raised in an under served country, where illnesses was common. it was during the encounter with sickness that i began to understand the true meaning of compassion from the therapist and physician who never gave up on me. So, becoming a therapist its kind of like “giving back,” if you will. If I can help one client live with more authenticity and pride, my job is done here.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about becoming a therapist?

Becoming a therapist demands a lot of patience, with clients and also with yourself. it’s very rewarding because you get to see your hard-work manifesting and your clients improving their daily lives. you will learn a lot about yourself, and also from your clients, that will help you understand another client.  It’s beautiful how the therapeutic process works. We are in this together, learning from one another and the product is, at times, utter amazement.

Choose a movie title for the story of your life.

if i could choose a movie title that represent the story of my life would be “The Life of Pi”. The movie is not just a survival story but a search for higher meaning of who we are and how powerful we are.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

I would choose total recall. So many of my problems could be solved if I had a photographic memory like Sherlock Holmes.
